Welcome to Atlas Orthodontics and Periodontics! We are excited to guide you through your first visit, where our primary aim is to introduce you to our practice, assess your or your child’s dental and orthodontic needs, and discuss customized treatment options tailored specifically to your smile.

3 STEP APPROACH

STEP 1: CONSULTATION

Your journey to a perfect smile begins with a complimentary consultation. During this visit, we will identify your unique concerns and develop a personalized treatment plan using the latest in dental technology.

STEP 2: APPLIANCE PLACEMENT

At your second appointment, you will be fitted with your new orthodontic appliance in a private suite. We will provide thorough home care instructions, answer any questions, and set up your follow-up visits.

STEP 3: CONTINUING CARE

We respect your time and ensure that each appointment is prepared with your privacy and comfort in mind. Once we achieve your desired smile, we provide retainers to maintain alignment and offer teeth whitening options to enhance your smile further.

YOUR COMPLIMENTARY CONSULTATION

We prioritize making you feel comfortable and enthusiastic about your orthodontic journey with us. While the initial consultations are complimentary, please note that there is a fee for consultations involving recent orthodontic treatments, active appliances from another provider, retainer replacements, or secondary consultations. HOW TO PREPARE

We share your excitement for your first visit! Your initial consultation is complimentary and will last approximately one hour. To ensure you gain the most from this appointment, please be available for the full duration and bring along any key decision-makers.

NOT READY FOR ORTHODONTICS?

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends an initial screening for children at age 7, even if many baby teeth are still present. Delaying an orthodontic exam until all adult teeth have emerged can lead to irreversible issues. Early evaluations can help prevent future complications.

Often, no immediate treatment is necessary. We only recommend early intervention (ages 7-10) if an issue is likely to worsen or become more difficult to treat later. If no treatment is needed, we offer our 7&UP Club, a complimentary service to monitor growth and tooth eruption every 6-12 months.

My child has a very sensitive gag reflex. Is there a chance they are not a candidate for 3D scanning?

Our 3D scanning technology is designed to be comfortable for all patients, including those with sensitive gag reflexes. It completely eliminates the need for traditional goopy impressions, ensuring a gag-free experience every time.

Is there an extra cost to use the Dental Monitoring App?

The Dental Monitoring App is available for free download from any app store. Although there is typically a monthly fee for monitoring, we offer this service at no additional cost to our patients. Our goal is to provide you with the best possible care and convenience.

If I have had x-rays taken elsewhere can I use them at your office?

Absolutely. If you have recent orthodontic x-rays, such as a panoramic or cephalometric x-ray taken within the last year, please forward them to us. We are happy to use these x-rays to assist in your treatment planning.

I travel a lot and may not be able to come in for my appointment, can I change my appointment to a virtual one?

We understand the demands of a busy schedule and offer the flexibility of virtual appointments whenever possible. If you know your travel plans in advance, we can easily arrange for either in-person or virtual appointments to accommodate your needs.
